Hi! Followed the process for my Hook Reveal 7x Tripleshot but the maps are not loading. I verified that all 5 files are on the SD card and can be seen by the device. With the device on and at the GPS screen I select more options, Overlay, and select Genesis Live. From what I have read this should be all that is needed to populate the map but I am not seeing it. Is a GPS signal required for the map to load? Not sure what I am doing wrong.

It works completely different for me. I have uploaded several logs to the social maps, like a month ago, and none has been put to Social Maps for download. Also, when I choose some area and download it (btw. the file that downloads is a .zip file with several files inside with .at5 format). After puting it into the SD card nothing happens. As we all know, there where issues with the functionality. The whole user-interface was troublesome, the menus worked slow and finding the map you wanted to download in the (close to) never-ending list of maps available was frustrating. The functionality did not support multiple maps on one memorycard either, and it was rather obvious that this cloud-based service was in need of some new programming to bring it up to speed. On my nuvi 3597, it shows up on the Settings/MyMaps as 2 maps, with US being separate from Canada & Mexico. The US map was put in internal storage as gmapprom, the second map file was put on the SD card in the \Map folder and is named D9644010A.It will be interesting to see how this is handled on my two old nuvi devices (755T and 855) which have smaller internal memory and more severe map file naming restrictions. I am guessing the 755 will handle it but I don't hold much hope for the 855, as Garmin Express doesn't even recognize use of the SD card on that series. I will follow up later with the results.
alandb, I had the same problem with my Nuvi 760... in the past GE would find the SD card and install maps there when there was not enough internal room. With the last update 2023.10, it no longer would. I verified it was not a card or device problem, because it would show up in Windows Explorer. It was apparently a GE problem. Then, I got a new laptop running Windows 11, installed the latest GE, and guess what - GE found the SD card and let me install the map update to it! I tried it again on the old computer and it still did not work. Hope this helps others with older Garmins who thought they would no longer be able to get the latest map updates.

I have finished with my first attempt at updating my old nuvi 755T to the 2023.20 CN NA map. I just used native Garmin Express (no cloning). It recognized the SD card just fine, completed sucessfully, and I thought I was getting the full CN NA, but when I booted the device up, all I had was "CN NA ALL US", in other words minus Canada and Mexico. I thought GE said I was getting full NA, but maybe I missed the naming distinction between "full NA" and "All US". The "All US" map file was installed on the SD card as gmapsup1. The JCV files were installed in internal memory. There was plenty of room on the 8 GB SD card to hold both sections of the map files and the file naming rules on the 7x5 series should allow both a gmapsupp and a gmapsup1 file, but apparently Garmin Express wasn't willing to install it that way.
Follow Up Edit: OK, I couldn't resist the temptation, so I tried the update on my 755T with cloning using a 128 GB thumb drive. This time I carefully checked the map details on GE. It definitely said City Navigator North America with no indication that I was getting a reduced region. I let it go to completion and got the same files I did without cloning. The only difference is that the map file was named gmapprom instead of gmapsup1 (because GE isn't smart enough to recognize cloning, it "thinks" it is installing to internal memory). I am guessing Garmin Express will not install both map segments to devices that don't support unrestricted map naming to the \Map folder. Too bad, because a device like the nuvi 7xx could easily support two maps named gmapsupp and gmapsup1. It may be possible to use MapInstall to install the additional regions (Canada and Mexico) although I am pretty sure that method would not support junction view in those regions. I am not motivated enough to try the MapInstall technique. Maybe if someone else tries, they can post the results.
